It is 10:38 PM on Saturday night…my wife and son are asleep (or soon will be).
Me? I am sitting in front of a computer listening to LiveIreland Radio and trying to write a paper.
As much as I love this class and as much as I am learning…I’m not sure if the timing was all that good… something about trying to become a new dad…. 😕
Oh well. One can only do what one can do. Follow the Goose and type away – let the wind blow and the sails fill out.
The sad thing about having three cats is that the air in the house tends to get a tad dirty. Lately, I have been on the lookout for an air purifier for odor removal due to the smell. It’s not something we ever noticed that much, but recently it has come to our attention more. We do pretty good, seeing how we have nice adult-size lungs.
But we are a bit concerned about Jadon’s lungs as they are still developing… as such we are thinking about buying an air purifier to help remove all the cat hair and dust particles. I think this is important as air purifiers can process germs, viruses, bacteria, dust and pollen as well as removing pet hair and dander from in the air. This would make the air so much cleaner for Jadon.
However, there are a TON of brands and types of air purifiers on the market. I found this useful article about the best air purifiers for dog owners which has helped. But I need more advice… is anyone out there using one that they would recommend? If so, why?
Over the Christmas holiday we had a painting party in which we decorated our nursery wall and furniture (it helps to have an artistic sister-in-law and two fun-loving teenager gals who were willing to come over and “play”!!) 😀

Barring any unforeseen situations, Em and I will be adopting a little boy around the second of February. Granted, it could be a tad earlier or later – depending on how quickly he wants to exit the womb. 😛
As you can probably imagine, we are trilled and extremely excited at this opportunity to enlarge our family. 😀

Seeing how it is the day of “feeding the belly” – otherwise known as Thanksgiving Day – I thought I might pass on an old cheese cake recipe for your enjoyment. 🙂
Ingredients:
- 3 eggs
- 5 cups of cottage cheese
- 3/4 cup of mild honey (a light color clover honey works great)
- 1/4 ts salt
- 2 ts vanilla
- 1/4 ts almond extract
- 2 – 9 inch unbaked gram cracker pie shells
