I just ran across this new single by Thomas Rhett and man does it hit a cord. To just sit and talk with Jesus over a cold pint…. that would be awesome.

Granted, my theological side says that we can actually do that today as He is alive and does, in fact, talk to us. We can know how He turned the other cheek, a question Thomas asks in his song, as the Scriptures tell us how – through the mercy, grace and strength of the Holy Spirit. A strength that is available to ALL followers of Jesus as demonstrated by the lives of countless Jesus followers throughout the centuries.

So yeah, it is a good song asking some good questions – only please, please know that those questions can be answered by a living Jesus (BTW – “trust me” is a valid  answer…)
