Searching for a new phone

I need a new phone. Not I want a new phone. But I NEED a new phone.

My current cell phone has cracks in the hinge that make me cringe whenever I answer a call. The antenna is held together by six-month-old scotch tape and super glue not to mention the fact that the battery dies by noon after being charged all night. I had a quick look at suppliers for iPhone Part but in the end, I’ve decided to just buy a new phone. I want to treat myself!

Yeah, I think I need a new phone. But what kind?! I do feel guilty for ditching my old iPhone, however I have taken too many trips to my local mobile iphone repair service, they will think I’m doing it on purpose.

The only cell phone provider that works in Sweet is Verizon Wireless so that limits my choices a bit. There are so many good providers who I can’t use, which is frustrating. So many people have suggested I take a look at the at&t plans as they are said to be great value for money, but as I said I am stuck with Verizon Wireless. As far as functionality, I would like a phone that has:

  • A full qwerty keyboard
  • Plays mp3 and other music formats
  • An personal calendar / organizer

I have been looking at various phone over the past few months and I have landed on the below three phones. The question now becomes, which one do I buy?

Some of you will automatically say, “Go for the free phone!” However, I don’t know… the LG enV(2) does have a high CNET ranking…but it also has the same basic Verizon calendar that can be a bit hard to use (granted the qwerty keyboard helps).

Sigh

I think I will head on down to the Verizon store today and see if I can touch these three phones. That may give me a bit more understanding of which one to get.
